 Photo by Steve Johnson on Unsplash I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri John 3:18 ESV “Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the Son of God.” Many people have a hard time with Me because I allow people to go to hell. It is ironic, because many of these same people do not believe in hell, but that is a side point. The thing that is not understood is that hell is defined by the absence of anything good. No love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Imagine life with none of these, then take hope away and you have hell. Since I am all those things, it stands to reason that if you take Me away you will end up in a place void of all these things, which is hell. So, this verse makes sense. I am not actively throwing people into hell because they defy Me or disagree with Me or refuse to bow down and worship Me. Instead, when someone chooses not to believe in Me even though the evidence of Me is clear and surrounds them every single day, then their choice is to live without Me and that, by definition, is hell. But hell is not available to anyone alive right now. You live in an in between place where I am there, evil is there, and you have the amazing ability to make a choice. You can choose Me, or you can choose “not Me”. These choices lead people to Me which is heaven and “not Me” which is hell. Just because someone doesn’t believe in gravity or believes the earth is flat doesn’t change the truth about them. Just because science, in general, believes in itself instead of Me doesn’t mean this is true. If science truly behaved as scientists claim to behave – with empirical evidence and unbiased observation of how things really are – every single scientist would believe in Me powerfully because they see My handiwork every day. They witness the miracle of creation every day, but many add a bias into every experiment and that is… “based on variable 1 and variable 2 and based on the fact that God doesn’t exist…my conclusion is this….”. Man build My lack of existence into the experiment which skews the results and makes them invalid. Whether someone chooses to believe the truth or not…the truth remains. I am God and I am the source of all that you desire, love, and cherish. If you choose not to believe in Me and seek Me, you choose to turn your back on all that you desire and cherish. Eventually this leads to experiencing a lack of all you desire – which is hell. I don’t say this to be mean. I say it out of love and kindness, so you can see the truth. I am God. I love you deeply! You were separated from Me through sin. I sent Jesus to reconnect us so we can have all eternity together. It is that simple. It is truth whether you believe it or not. Photo by Steve Johnson on Unsplash I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri Ephesians 3:20 ESV “Not wo Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,” “According to the power at work within us” is key here. Do you feel powerless? You have the power of God Himself in you if you believe and receive it through Jesus Christ. Think about that for a moment. The power that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside of you (Romans 8:11). I created you in My image (Genesis 1:26) and I am a great creator (Genesis 1). I have told you that you will do greater things than Jesus (John 14:12). Do you believe Me? Why, you ask, do we not experience this power? Why do we not experience our prayers being answered? Here are 3 clues, none of which will surprise you:
Look at your life honestly from this perspective and check in on these 3 things. Are you doing them? The only way it is possible for you to do these things is to do them through My Holy Spirit living in you so if you are - it is due to the Holy Spirit and if not - it is due to needing more of the Holy Spirit. So, ask for the Holy Spirit to fill you and remove anything that no longer fits within you and then let the Holy Spirit work. If, when you do this assessment, you see that you do the three things listed above, then you are filled with the Holy Spirit and ask for what you want and you will receive it! Exercise the power given to you. Know that more of the Holy Spirit is always available to you. Prayer: Dear Lord, please send more of the Holy Spirit, please send more of the Holy Spirit. Photo by Steve Johnson on Unsplash I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri Galatians 2:20 ESV “Now an intermediary implies more than one, but God Is one.” John 2:17 “And this world is fading away, along with everything people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.” 1 John 2:29 “Since we know that Christ is righteous, we also know that all who do what is right are God’s children.” I am One. We are one. This is not some new idea of you being god which centers and focuses on you. When the focus is on you, you can assume something is amiss because it is simply too much pressure on you to be the focus and then things get really heavy and burdensome…too much for you to carry. But when the focus is on Me, your burden is light. It is not degrading to point out and ask you to remember that you are dust and will return to dust. You are compared to sheep regularly in the Bible. This is not diminishing or derogatory at all, it is truth. You are glorified by Me being glorified because I am all glory and I shine it onto you. I am all righteousness and I share My righteousness with you. I am all love and I overflow love onto you. If you focus on the glory, righteousness, or love You turn your eyes from Me and all these begin to fade, but when you turn toward Me and seek My face (Psalm 27:8) you become one with Me, with your Father, your true ancestor, and righteousness, glory and love strengthen and flow. So many focus on the “do what is right” in the verse above (1 Jn 2:29) and believe that doing what is right is what leads them to being My children, but this is works based and puts the focus on this world which is fading away. It is from satan because he wants you focusing on what is fading and dying rather than on what brings eternal life. The focus is on Me, creator, God almighty, dedicated, loving, caretaker, giver of life – and when you put your focus where it belongs you connect to the source of life, the one who has everything you want and who gives freely. 1 Jn 2:29 could be reversed to say…you are My children if you receive Jesus Christ for who He is, the One who reconnects you to your lineage, to Me and when you are My child, not from your own strength but through His incredibly generous gift of His body and blood, you will be able to do what is righteous and you will receive all else that is good through Me. Come to Me (Matthew 11:28) fix your eyes on Me (Hebrews 12:2) and let My life flow through you – and you will be holy and pleasing to Me (Romans 12:2) Prayer: Lord, please help me put You first. Amen.” Do you know why glory is so important? Because glory is what is naturally satisfying and fulfilling. Happiness comes and goes. Beauty fades. Success if fleeting. Glorifying oneself through temporary means like work or weight or looks or anything else that is not eternal is like eating a sugary diet. It gives short term pleasure and a “high” but it isn’t lasting or nourishing. But when glory behaves the way it is supposed to, it satisfies the laws of creation, and everyone involved is deeply satisfied because the Kingdom is honored and put in its place – and its place is this – for the Kingdom to be fully realized without any infiltration of anything that is non-Kingdom. When you meet Me face to face (1 Corinthians 13:12) in eternal life beyond this physical life you will see what is fully true. You will see how glorious I truly am – like the most beautiful sunset you have ever seen, multiplied by 1,000 or the stars on the darkest night when they fill the sky so completely your mind is blown by their sheer numbers. You will witness My glory like never before and then the best thing of all will happen…you will see that you are made fully and completely in My image and that you and I are one as Jesus and I are one and you will discover that we are all fully glorified as I am glorified. It isn’t a competition – you vs Me. It isn’t that I am so egotistical and narcissistic that I need to be worshipped and glorified. It is this….as I am glorified, all things return to their original state of being before the fall and you get to experience ethe perfection of My creation, the way it will be for all eternity. All glory eventually comes to Me simply because I am God and I am all glory, so you get to experience it for a few moments while you are here on earth. Prayer: Oh Lord, be glorified. May You be all the glory. May You be glorified in my life so I can participate in this creation the way it actually was created rather than the way I want it to be, which is so much less than your vision for it. Photo by Steve Johnson on Unsplash I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri Genesis 8:20 ESV “Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and took some of every clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar.” My ways seem so strange to the world and yet they are very meaningful and important. How strange it seems to keep these birds and animals alive the whole time they are on the ark and then for them to die the moment the journey and hardship of ark life is over. What in your own life makes the least amount of sense? If you recognize that there is great meaning in this area of your life that supports My purposes in your life and in the world at large it can start to make sense. You may not love what I am doing, but it will make more sense when you look at it from the perspective of heaven rather than the perspective of earth. Love all the challenges you have gotten through in your life…know that you will get through any challenge you face with grace and great success and then over half of the challenge is gone. It’s the unknown outcome that brings angst. This is why I had Noah build an altar and sacrifice so many animals. It made no sense – the entire world of animals and birds had to be repopulated through the few that remained, yet…I wanted Noah to take a moment to pause and reflect on the monumental even that just occurred. He came through an impossible situation successfully and he had his whole life ahead of him. Taking time to reflect and recognize that, only with God was it possible to survive the flood and return to dry land. And so Noah took a beat, showed his gratitude, recognized the enormity of the situation, and worshipped Me. If you want, read verses 21 and 22 also. The aroma of his sacrifice and gratitude was pleasing to Me and I made a promise to him and mankind because of it. If you want to read more, Chapter 9 tells of the lasting covenant I made as a result of Noah’s obedience and gratitude. Know how powerful it is to worship, sacrifice, and recognize the enormity of your life! Look at My response. I give even more generously when hearts are turned to Me and it changes lives for generations. What do you want to celebrate? Remember where you have been, so you can live in the confidence of knowing all your current and future challenges are handled! Prayer: Dear Lord, I take a few moments to simply reflect on all You have gotten me through in my life. Thank You. Forgive me for worrying or doubting you for current and future events and challenges. Photo by Steve Johnson on Unsplash I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri Genesis 8:13 ESV “In the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried from off the earth. And Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked and behold, the face of the ground was dry.” Does it ever feel like what you are waiting for, wanting so desperately, will never happen. Imagine being on the ark, having watched the entire world decimated, every friend and neighbor … gone… except the family surrounding you. Imagine looking at all the animals, hearing them every day, wondering why I chose this as a way to restart the world. Wouldn’t it have been easier to wipe everything out and speak the animals into existence again? Why such a rudimentary and “natural” way to restore the earth? There must be a better way. Imagine the days upon days of being cooped up on the arc, stuck with the same people, surrounded by noises and smells, with no way of knowing when it would end…trying to be grateful – after all, you are one of the few to survive the complete destruction. Imagine the pressure – wondering – why me? Why was I chosen to repopulate the earth? And then imagine the long days wondering when…when would the land be dry enough to step out into again? What will be involved in rebuilding everything? Where will we land? Will we recognize anything? Will we be in the same region or maybe across the world from where we were before. But the strongest question of all. When? When will this end, and the huge new beginning start? Look how specific the day is that I chose. 601st year, first month, first day. It was selected for a reason. It was selected specifically for the day that began to mark time again on the earth. Know that I see you. I see your questions, frustrations, and struggles. I see and hear your questions of “when”, and I have a plan. A good plan that leads to good things (Jeremiah 29:11) and restores all that was taken away (Jeremiah 29:14). You can trust Me. I know what I am doing. I have a plan and a purpose, and you are an important part of it. I have the specific day marked on the “calendar”. The day the land will be dry to step out onto so you can start your new beginning. Trust Me. I have a plan! Prayer: Dear Lord, the waiting is grueling. You have laid out such amazing plans and given me glimpses of the greatness of Your plan. Help me trust. Photo by Steve Johnson on Unsplash I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri 1 Corinthians 3:17 ESV “If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” Do you believe these words? Do you believe first that you are My temple and second, I will destroy anyone who destroys you? I am made out to be a weak and powerless god by many societies and cultures these days. Everyone wants to pick and choose what they will believe. Many claim to be Christians but don’t believe in Jesus. Many believe in Jesus but not demons. Many believe in life after death but don’t believe in hell. Many believe in Me but don’t believe I will send anyone to hell, and many believe that I am their God but don’t believe they are My temple or that I will, actually, take care of them, so at the first sign of trouble they assume I won’t do anything on their behalf and they take matters into their own hands. Do you want to experience the power of God? Do you want Me to act powerfully in your life? Do you want to believe that when someone purposefully hurts you that I will take care of it for you? Yes, I balance grace and truth, but I do not ever wipe out truth because I refuse to act. If someone is destroying you or if someone has done something in the past to destroy you, do not hold on to yourself for vengeance. Instead, believe that I will use many means at My disposal to destroy them appropriately. Put them into My hands and know that I will act, in My way, in My time, and let go of the grievance so that you can live in freedom and I can handle it for you. I encourage you to believe the whole gospel. Don’t pick and choose what you want to believe because when you do, you misalign yourself with truth and you weaken what is possible in your life. Walk with Me. Believe in Me and know that I am your God. You are My people Jeremiah 30:22 and you are My temple and are holy and pleasing to Me. Rejoice in this and in the knowledge that you do not need to fear anyone because I will take care of it. Live in this truth and knowledge and rejoice! Prayer: Dear Lord, help me believe the fullness of Your gospel and what You say so that I can walk in the power of the Kingdom of Heaven. I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri Isaiah 4:5 “Then the Lord will create over the whole site of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day and smoke and the shining of fire by night; for over all the glory there will be a canopy.” Look what is available to you when you return to Me with your whole heart. Guidance in all that you do….a cloud by day and fire by night, just like the Israelites had to get through the desert. Follow My leading and hear My voice, trusting Me beyond trusting yourself. I know it’s challenging but it is a good challenge. I am looking for people who actually want Me. Not just those who want to avoid hell but people who enjoy My Presence so much that they cannot be stolen away from Me by the lies of the enemy. What would have happened if Adam and Eve had chosen to walk with Me in the garden that fateful day instead of wandering off on their own where they were open to temptation? What would happen in your life if you knew how much I want to walk with you each and every day…to be in your life at all times, never leaving or forsaking you? What could happen or change if you followed the “cloud by day and the fire at night”? Would you like that? Do you enjoy My Presence and guidance, or do you prefer your own or someone else’s? Be honest with Me and with yourself! If you prefer your own presence or someone else’s it’s important to be honest about that with both yourself and Me and either examine why and discover what gets in the way of you wanting Me more or simply live your life in integrity – knowing you are choosing another presence over Mine. Of course, My desire is to walk with you each moment of each day but I really don’t want to force you…but if this is what you desire also, come to Me. Mount Zion represents victory and holiness, and I offer this to you. I think it is what you deeply want when not distracted by your needs. Do you know how to find Me? I am right here with you now. If you don’t feel Me as close as you want, seek help. I have planted spiritual directors, mystics, and counselors in your midst to help guide your way. I speak to everyone consistently throughout the day, all day long. If you aren’t able to hear Me or don’t understand what I am saying, seek help to listen. Your life is so much better when you do. Come Me. Ask questions, seek My answers and walk by faith. Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for being available at all times to walk with me and to guide me. I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri Isaiah 7:15 ESV “He shall eat curds and honey when he knows how to refuse the evil and choose the good.” God: The doubts of this world are the greatest evil of our time. Doubting Me leads to thoughts and questions leading down a path of destruction. Destruction of peace in particular. Refuse to doubt. Just simply refuse to doubt. No matter what the circumstances indicate. This is a powerful way to live and leads to the abundance represented here by curds and honey. So many people miss the abundance available in the Kingdom of Heaven because they choose evil over good. They choose to doubt Me when I am undoubtable. Know this and know it clearly: I will always come through for you. Always Every single time Without fail! Stand upon this truth and live your life on it, knowing that if I do not come through you will look like a fool (1 Cor 15:10) and be put to shame and I do not put My people to shame Romans 10:11 Amplified “For the Scripture says, ’WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED [in his expectations].’” (other translations say “put to shame” instead of “be disappointed”) Your work is simple: John 6:29 NLT “Jesus told them, ‘This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the One He has sent.” When you focus on outcomes you leave room for doubt. When you exercise faith, extreme faith that makes no sense whatsoever to those around you, that is when you refuse evil and choose good. Your life will then be filled with peace and abundance (eating curds and honey) because you will know beyond any doubt that I will come through for you. Let go. Know that I am God. Choose belief over unbelief and enter the promised land flowing with milk and honey. Your name is written in the book of life. Rejoice! (Luke 10:20) Prayer: Oh Lord, it is so hard to believe when life doesn’t come together like I want or like I understand Your promises but You tell me to believe, and this is what I will do. Photo by Barbare Kacharava on Unsplash I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri Isaiah 28:3 ESV “The proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim will be trodden underfoot,” Do you ever wonder when, and how, I will remove the proud, the arrogant, and the overzealous (for the wrong reasons) in the ‘church”? Do you wonder whether I will tear down the lies, the injustices, the exclusivity within the “church”? Do you wish the church could be what I intended it to be? The body of Christ, formed in unity, without such divisive words being thrown around at each other and at My people who don’t know Me yet. Have you wondered why I have waited so long to remove the haughty and the proud who lead the “church” to destruction because they value rules and laws more than people? They choose to enforce the laws that are easy to spot. They think if they rid the world of the behaviors that are egregious to them that there will be revival and growth in the church, but they ignore the hardest commandments that make the biggest impact. Please, oh please, the drunkards of Ephraim who have gotten drunk on the power of leadership and in the perceived knowledge of what I want for My church…please, come back to Me. You have strayed too far, just as the Pharisees did, and you do damage to My children, My Church. Do you not realize that by emphasizing “Thou shalt not _____” fill in the blank with the hot topic of the church of your choice – that you disobey My primary objective – love Me, love yourself, love your neighbor, and love your enemy (Mark 12:29-31, Matthew 5:44). Return to My ways, love the people, but hate the sin. They will never be able to change and become the church without My Holy Spirit residing in them, causing them to walk in My ways, bearing My fruit, being My people. This is how the desire to do all the sins that are hot topics in the church will disappear and they will sit at Jesus feet in their right mind (Luke 8:35). Search your heart with Me and let’s remove any “drunkenness” in you so you can be My hands and feet and bring about the change so desperately needed in the church and world right now. I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri Isaiah 29:5 ESV “But the multitude of your foreign foes shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the ruthless like passing chaff. And in an instant, suddenly…” I stop at suddenly on purpose. You are welcome to continue reading if you would like, of course, but My point today is found in verse 5. This builds upon yesterday’s message. If you read Isaiah 29:1-4 you will see that it distresses Me a great deal when My people, My chosen, My beloved are distant from Me for any reason at all, and there can be so many! It distresses Me and I long for the closeness with you that I desired when I created you. I created human beings to love and be loved by, to walk in the garden with Me and enjoy Me and for Me to enjoy you. It is really that simple! This verse shows that when other things get in the way of this simple desire to walk with each other, loving, loving each other, things like striving to earn My love, working to amass savings for wealth or safety, distracting oneself with excessive pleasure that never satisfies, or many other things, I allow them to come between us for a time because you have free will and choice so these “foreign foes” come wreak havoc on your life and our relationship, eventually showing you that they are empty and not satisfying…and at just the right moment I turn the multitude of foreign foes into small dust and the ruthless lies of the enemy – telling you all sorts of lies about Me and about life that detract from the simplicity of My creation and desire…these ruthless lies I turn to chaff. “And in an instant” …. I return you to a place of peace, provision, and rest in Me and in that moment, we have an opportunity to simply enjoy each other as though walking through the garden together I the cool of the day, simply enjoying each other’s company. And My heart soars with joy for you are My Beloved and all I want from you is your love and your presence. And then after a few moments of bliss, peace, rest, and each other’s presence, the things of this world, the foreign foes, the ruthless lies of the enemy begin to infiltrate again and they build and distract and build more until another “suddenly” and we get another moment together and My heart soars again, with your presence. If you want, you can step out of this cycle! Simply put being present with Me at the forefront of each day and the cycle is broken! Prayer: Lord, thank You for being so clear about the simplicity of our relationship. Even now I feel the foreign foes and the ruthlessness of the enemy pulling at me. Photo by Barbare Kacharava on Unsplash I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri 2 Peter 1:5 ESV “In view of all of this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self control.” Be careful of the leaven (Matthew 16:6) found in small amounts in the human spirit but that spread, subtly, through the whole demeanor of a person and the body of Christ. It is subtle and it is self-sufficiency. This verse demonstrates how it can creep in subtly through human beliefs about themselves. The hardest part of following Jesus is that humans want to feel important, unique, special, and in control. This is why all other religions are based on human action, self-denial, or works in order to get to their god. Christianity is based on Me providing everything you need and you receiving it – praise and worship naturally follow. Do you see the difference? All other religions put the focus on themselves…works, good actions, evangelizing, doing things or letting go of things to reach Nirvana or heaven or a state of perfection. Christianity puts the focus on Me and requires you to simply be in a relationship with Me so that I can provide all you need. The focus of Christianity is on Me doing everything so that you can be connected to Me for all eternity – your p art is to exercise the free will, that I gave you, to let go of your free will and align with My Will instead. I gave My people a covenant with 10 simple commandments. They were unable to fulfill the simple covenant, so I sent Jesus to fulfill it for you. You were, and are, unable to do it – and that’s okay. I sent Jesus to take care of it all. This verse today shares how subtle the infiltration of the leaven is. Peter was unable to do the very thing he tells you to do in this verse He denied his savior three times – this doesn’t show moral excellence, or self-control. He hid with the disciples in great fear after Jesus was resurrected (John 20:19) and even considered going back to fishing (John 21:3) until one thing happened – the Holy Spirit filled him. Then he was able to do all he instructs others to do. Let this be your focus and your “work” …. Receiving My promise of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8, John 14:17). Change your posture from doing, working, striving, and self-sufficiency to a posture of receiving the Holy Spirit, put your focus on Me, receive My promises, put Me in the center of your attention and all else will follow (Matthew 6:33). Prayer: Dear Lord, I am unable to do even this simple thing of fixing my eyes on You and receiving Your Spirit, but I want to. Please do this for me also. I love You. I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri Isaiah 14:22 ESV “’I will rise up against them,’ declares the Lord of hosts, ‘and will cut off from Babylon name and remnant, descendants and posterity.’ Declares the Lord.” There are times in one’s life that feel like I am silent or inactive even though I am never silent or inactive fully. I am always present and acting on your behalf…always. Why do I feel silent and inactive then? It can be for a number of reasons:
When you read the verse today, know that the Babylon I am cutting off and destroying may very well be the things that are coming up against you externally like your enemies or someone from whom you require vindication, but it may also be a part of your life internally that no longer leads you to the desires of your heat. These can be the harder things to see or allow Me to prune, and it may feel like I am going up against you but know this….I am always for you – My incredible and beautiful and powerful creation. I am always standing strong for you – the person you truly are when all shoulds and how tos are removed. I am always for you – My beloved child. I honor your free will but if it is not good for you or doesn’t lead to the desire of your heart, I will not bless it. Come to Me when you feel weary and need rest (Matthew 11:28). Stop spending your money on what doesn’t satisfy (Isaiah 55:2) and seek everything to buy what is valuable (Matthew 13:45-46). I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri 2 Peter 1:2 ESV “May grace and peace be multiplied to you in knowledge of God and Jesus Christ our Lord.” When you think about what is actually going on versus what you think is going on you will find peace. What is actually going on? I created the world to be with you, to love you, to have a relationship with you, and to walk on in the cool of the day with you (Genesis 3:8). It is really that simple! When you say that “they” or “the world” tells Me I have to do x, y, or z in order to be okay, acceptable, normal, etc. what you aren’t realizing is that they feel the exact same way about you. You are the “they” for other people and they and you are all making choices based on things everyone convinces themselves is important but really doesn’t atter at all. This is why war, famine, and poverty all exist….because people believe the lie that they need more and more and more in order to b okay and to be accepted in this world, so they hoard, seek out more of what doesn’t satisfy them…thinking more will satisfy or at least the awe and admiration (aka jealousy) of others will give them the approval they seek. But here is the truth…the knowledge of Me and Jesus Christ the Lord is what leads to peace being multiplied and this comes from the grace I have for you. I already love you. You don’t need to earn it or be perfect. I already love you….in fact it is a lot easier to love you when you are being yourself rather than someone you think you are supposed to be. I already approve of you – I don’t approve of everything you do but I can separate out you from your actions and simply love and accept you apart from your actions. You were built to love and seek Me out. You were lied to and told you have to work for and strive in order to receive My love, but this is not true. Let go of all the things you tell yourself you need to be in order to be who other say you should be and put your eyes on Me. Seek out knowledge of Me and Jesus Christ and find the peace, and approval, and identity you seek so deeply. I am right here, closer than you imagine. Prayer: Dear Lord God, thank You for loving me and accepting me exactly as I am! Please help me let go of working and striving to be accepted and let me rest in Your grace, mercy and truth. I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective - Sherri Jeremiah 33:3 ESV “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known." What do you want to know? Anything. Anything at all. I will tell you the mysteries of the universe, your life, all of creation. There is nothing I will not share with you if you will call to Me and listen to My answers. Do you have an unsolvable problem? Call to Me. Formulate your question. Be clear what you are asking, even write it down so as it morphs in your head over time as I bring the answer to you, you will be able to review what question you asked and understand what I answered. I love answering questions! Ask Me a follow up question when My answer isn’t 100% clear to you. This is okay! Many people think they get 1 question and 1 answer but this is not how it works. I am a patient father and a beloved friend. I love conversations with you. It deepens our relationship even when you ask the hard and painful questions. I can handle your hurt and anger as well as your curiosities, desires for wisdom, and praise. Don’t hold back! What type of relationship is it when a line is drawn that you cannot go beyond? Ask Me a question. Formulate it as a clear and distinct question so it is answerable and so the answer can make better sense. It doesn’t have to be perfect but it is much easier to hear and receive My answers when your questions are clear. Give it a try now. What do you wish you understood that you do not? Write it down for future reference. Now, seek My answer. I communicate to every person uniquely. It is like a fingerprint for our relationship. How do I communicate with you? Is it through hearing? Events that seem like coincidences? Bible verses? Audibly? Through a sense of knowing? Dreams? Visions? Seemingly random comments from friends and family? Who I bring into your life? A love of nature that “speaks” to you? There are so many unique ways. Don’t limit yourself to one. I reveal many things over time in many ways, but I do give you a “go to” way of receiving My answers that you experience as most reliable. Give it a try now. Prayer: Lord, I call to You and know You will answer me. Here is my question __________________. Please help me receive Your answer. I love getting to know You better. Amen. Click here to donate. I believe this is a message from God, written from His perspective - Sherri Psalm 23:1 ESV “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” Do you believe Me? With all that you fill your life with, do you realize that I am what you really want? I love being your shepherd. I love being with you each and every day of your life – leading, guiding, loving you. So many believe that they have to seek Me for Me to be there. They think I want them to do things for Me, that I need them to actively work for Me so that My Will is done, but this is backward. The truth is that I am your shepherd, and I take care of everything you need and truly want and from that place of being fully cared for, you experience such abundance that you want to do anything you possibly can for Me out of an incredible sense of generosity. Yes, there are times I ask you to serve Me out of a place of emptiness but what you find is that it isn’t really about serving the other person – it is to fill you up because it is what you needed. So many Christians feel empty right now, knowing they should be seeking Me through church, prayer, bible study, and community events but I have become an obligation or a “should”. This too is backward. Look at the people in the bible who are filled with the Holy Spirit. They aren’t obligated to know Me…they want, need, desire, and love to know Me and I flow through them. You are here now, reading this because I am your shepherd and you have no other true and deep want other than Me. I am with you right now, in the very space where you are. You don’t have to go anywhere or do anything to experience Me. I am right here with you. I never leave you and am always right there with you. Let Me love you and fill you up so that you desire to do all the things you “should” do. Let Me fill you up and then all else will follow. Prayer: Lord, I desire You – not all the “shoulds” of following You. Please fill me with Your Presence so that I can simply enjoy being with You, just like I enjoy simply being with my best friends with whom I love to hang out and be with. I believe this is a message from God, written from His perspective - Sherri Romans 8:22 ESV “For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.” Many reading or hearing this will agree wholeheartedly that it feels like the whole creation is groaning right now. Many, many people call out to Me “When Lord, how soon is soon, Lord” every single day. I hear your cries like a woman in late-stage childbirth when one contraction barely ends before the next begins. May we reframe the question though? What is being birthed? Labor is forgotten the moment the baby is seen, held, heard, and smelled. So, the question really is “what is being birthed and what can I personally do to bring this new life into being.” Matthew 9:36-37 ESV “When [Jesus] saw the crowds He had compassion for them because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few…” Are you willing to be a laborer? How, you might ask? The answer is here… 1 Peter 5:2 ESV “…shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you, not for shameful gain, but eagerly, not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.” I have entrusted a flock to you. For some it is 1, for others it is 10,000 or even more. Shepherd them through prayer and love. Say no to something less important and spend that time praying for each of your flock. James 5:16 ESV “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for entrusting a portion of the body of Christ, which is being born even now, as we witness such strong birthing pains. Please help me carve out time to pray and shepherd these people. Give me the prayers and words to say so they will also experience Your love as I have experienced it. Thank You Lord. I believe this is a message from God, written from His perspective - Sherri Genesis 18:22 ESV “So the men turned from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the Lord.”
I invite you to come confidently before the throne (Hebrews 4:16) and yet I do ask you to do it with reverence and praise – not for My sake but for yours. Coming before My throne is much more meaningful when you recognize the power, might, love, grace, and mercy that I Am…because then you recognize how much more is available to you. My desire is to walk in the Garden with you (Genesis 3:8) and to be your God and for you to be My people (Psalm 95:7) Is this your desire also? If so, be the one that stands before Me, having a conversation with Me about what I am doing and what you want. Jesus often asked, “what do you want Me to do?” to people who called out or came to Him. Stand before Me now and ask what you want and yet spend some time considering what to ask for (James 4:3). Abraham asked for Me to relent My plans for Sodom, not jut for his own benefit, and we negotiated. Come to Me and you will find what you seek. Ask for what you really want and not what this world tells you to desire. Stand before Me and ask. I am listening. Prayer: Dear Lord, I am In awe of You and am so grateful for this invitation because I know how mighty, powerful, loving, and full of grace and mercy you You are. I believe this is a message from God, written from His perspective - Sherri 1 John 4:14 ESV “By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us His Spirit.” The “this” in this passage is referring to loving one another. I command you to love Me, yourself and others (Mark 12:30-31). I tell you to look at the fruit (Matthew 7:15-20) 1 John 5:1 ESV “Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of Him.” If you want to deepen the knowledge, read through verse 5, but there is no guilt or condemnation if you do not. My words are very clear here, love is a way to test your heart and know if My Spirit abides in you fully. If you find yourself struggling to love Me, My creation, My people – then you will know it is time to simply invite Me and My Spirit more deeply into you and your life by a simple prayer. Prayer: Dear Lord, I want to be able to love You, others, and myself the way you love us. Please help me. I give you permission to work within me and heal me at any level, whether physical, spiritual, emotional, or other levels I don’t yet know about. Lord I particularly struggle with loving ______. Please help me. I cannot do this on my own. If there is a spirit of anger or resentment, opposition, death, or any other spirit actively attempting to steal kil, and destroy the abundant life, filed with Your love that is available to Me I bind these spirits now in the name of Jesus Christ and cast it / them out and send them to You, Lord Jesus, to deal with. Fill me, please, with the Holy Spirit so that I can experience the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) particularly love Help me love You, myself, others, and my enemies (Matthew 5:43-44). Click here to donate. I believe this is a message from God, written from His perspective - Sherri 1 John 4:19 ESV “We love because He first loved us.” Why is this verse so important? It prevents many of the lies the enemy tells us. Lies like:
It also prevents the most dangerous thing that Christians to do others. They attempt to live out the commands of the bible from their own power, energy, and love. This is dangerous because this was never the intent. When Christians obey My commands to love and serve other people and do it from themselves as the source then they represent Me in human ways and with human frailty. They drain themselves and leave themselves open for attacks from the enemy. But there is a better way! Better for everyone because it is how I designed this creation:
Prayer: Dear Lord, I receive Your love freely and with great gratitude knowing You loved me before I even knew You. Please help me live from a place of Your love and strength, letting go of all my sin and attempting to live from my own love and strength. I believe this is a message from God, written from His perspective - Sherri 1 John 4:17 ESV “By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgement, because as He is, so also are we in this world.” O My beautiful children, My beautiful, beautiful children. If you see yourselves as I see you great and mighty things happen. What, you ask, happens? Let Me share with you. My vision of you is perfect and has been from the moment I imagined you, through My knitting you together within your mother (Psalm 139:13) and it is perfect even now. As you trust Me more and more you are able to see yourself in My eyes as I see you and anything imperfect based on sin or fear is cast down or falls away.
See yourself as I see you. All unwanted burdens and baggage will flee and fall away – in Jesus name. Prayer: Dear Lord. I trust You fully. Help me trust You even more so that I can truly see myself the way You see me so I may be perfected in love.
