august 28 - daily message - Philippians 4:20

I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri ​

​Philippians 4:20 “To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
 
Do you know why glory is so important?
 
Because glory is what is naturally satisfying and fulfilling. Happiness comes and goes. Beauty fades. Success if fleeting. Glorifying oneself through temporary means like work or weight or looks or anything else that is not eternal is like eating a sugary diet. It gives short term pleasure and a “high” but it isn’t lasting or nourishing.
But when glory behaves the way it is supposed to, it satisfies the laws of creation, and everyone involved is deeply satisfied because the Kingdom is honored and put in its place – and its place is this – for the Kingdom to be fully realized without any infiltration of anything that is non-Kingdom.
 
 When you meet Me face to face (1 Corinthians 13:12) in eternal life beyond this physical life you will see what is fully true. You will see how glorious I truly am – like the most beautiful sunset you have ever seen, multiplied by 1,000 or the stars on the darkest night when they fill the sky so completely your mind is blown by their sheer numbers. You will witness My glory like never before and then the best thing of all will happen…you will see that you are made fully and completely in My image and that you and I are one as Jesus and I are one and you will discover that we are all fully glorified as I am glorified.
 
It isn’t a competition – you vs Me. It isn’t that I am so egotistical and narcissistic that I need to be worshipped and glorified. It is this….as I am glorified, all things return to their original state of being before the fall and you get to experience ethe perfection of My creation, the way it will be for all eternity. All glory eventually comes to Me simply because I am God and I am all glory, so you get to experience it for a few moments while you are here on earth.
 
Prayer:
Oh Lord, be glorified. May You be all the glory. May You be glorified in my life so I can participate in this creation the way it actually was created rather than the way I want it to be, which is so much less than your vision for it. May your glory be so full and complete that I am fully satisfied by You. To You be the glory. Amen.
