November 13 - Daily Message - Mark 3:19

I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri 

Mark 3:19 NLT “Judas Iscariot (who later betrayed Him)”
 
As she writes this, of course Sherri is wondering if she heard Me wrong for today’s verse (and you may be also…). This is when Jesus is choosing the disciples, and this verse again shows a lot about My character.
 
You might ask…why would I have selected Judas as one of the disciples when I knew it would put him in the very position necessary for him to betray Jesus. It’s a good question…
 
Some think the answer is a predestination which would mean the betrayal was inevitable so he had to be on the team of disciples so that his “destiny” could be reveals.
 
Others say that I knew Jesus needed to be betrayed and that Judas would do it so I put him in the team of 12 disciples, but neither of these are correct.
 
The truth is that I do anything and everything possible to bring My children home to Me. I have them born at the time they are born. I put them in families, neighborhoods, countries, so that they, specifically, will be set up for the greatest likelihood of meeting Me and knowing Me. This was true for Judas also. I knew his heart, his makeup, the way he thought, even his need for control and ability to figure out the “best” way to achieve his goals. He had very specific ideas of what My Kingdom would look like and how it would come about but he could never have foreseen what actually would happen unless…he read the scriptures diligently and studied them and was very close to Jesus to see, hear, and discern how I planned to bring My Kingdom to earth. I put him on the 12-disciple team because that was the path of greatest probability of him actually understanding My plan so he could also be saved.
 
Remember, there were plenty of people who wanted Jesus killed. I didn’t need Judas to betray Him in order for the Scriptures to be fulfilled. My desire was for him to know Jesus intimately and lay down his views on how to achieve My plans which involved traditional views on power and money as the primary influencers so that he could see and experience My supernatural power and resources.
 
Please, don’t make this same mistake. I have shown many of you My plans for your life or this world, but if you try to accomplish these plans your own way or traditional ways it will go badly. A better way is to draw near to Me, submit control and belief of what you think I am doing, and let Me lead the way. I have put you in this place, time, and location for specific reasons!
