November 24 - Daily Message - Ezekiel 33:11

I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri

Ezekiel 33:11 ESV “As I live, declares the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways, for why will you die, O house of Israel?”
 
So many say they cannot believe in a God who would send people to hell. But know this, it tears Me apart every single time I lose a child for all eternity. It hurts Me more than someone on earth losing their child to death because:
1. I know what will happen to them.
2. I know that I will never get to enjoy My son or daughter the way I so desperately had hoped when I created them.
3. I am saddened by the need for free will and wish I could take it away to ensure every one of My children come to be with Me for all eternity but…that is not what they want….and free will cannot be removed.
4. I am deeply hurt by the rejection. So deeply hurt that someone I imagined, dreamed, formed, knit together, nurtured, and sacrificed My son for would simply not want Me. It is very hard every time it happens.
 
There are so many ways to reject Me while making it seem like a reasonable and cautious thing to do…almost logical or prudent but let’s recognize it for what it is…rejecting Me and all My desires for you, your life, and your eternity.
 
You can say you don’t want to believe in Me because:

• I “created” hell
• I let people suffer or starve
• I hate people like (gay, divorced, murderers, sinners – or anything else.)
• You don’t know if I am real or not
• You want a predictable God who cares about comfort over eternal life
• You can’t believe I created the world and science makes more sense (even though I created science of course)
• I might ask you to do something you don’t want to do
• You might end up less well off

 
All of these are reasons I hear all day, every day, but that is like choosing to eat the slop in a pig's pen instead of choosing to follow your sense of smell to a feast close to you. Follow your sense and come to Me! I may not be predictable, but I am very good! Let go of the excuses and just come to Me!
