September 1 - Daily Message - Ezekiel 15:2

I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri 

Ezekiel 15 – the whole chapter if you are up for reading it – emphasis on Verse 2 ESV “Son of Man, how does the word of the vine surpass any word, the vine branch that is among the tree of the forest.”

Notice to whom this is written….to the Son of Man. Who is most referred to as Son of Man in the bible….Jesus. Could it also be read that Ezekiel was listening to a conversation between Me and Jesus?
I am telling Him of My need to punish the faithlessness and sin of My people, but I don’t want to because of who I am. I am pure love and I love My children so completely that I will do anything for them. Anything at all. But sin must be dealt with because it goes against everything that I am. Sin and perfect love cannot reside together….but My people now don’t believe in sin, so they don’t understand the problem or situation they are in. Oh, how sad this makes Me but, out of My deep love and My deep desire to gather My beloved children to Me, let Me explain this verse.

As you know, the vine branches represent My people (John 15:5). The vine of itself is not good for any use. It cannot be used to build anything, but that isn’t what I created it for. I created it to glorify Me, not to be of practical use. The vine, My children, think too highly of themselves right now, like entitled children. Very unbecoming. They refuse to accept that their value does not come from what they achieve or accomplish or accumulate. Their value comes from who they are…My children. Mad in My image. Like little gods (Psalm 82:6) but they take this blessing – being like little gods and attempt to hold onto it and glorify themselves rather than shine like the amazing creation they are, saying “look – I look just like My Dad”.

A vine who is only interested in itself is worthless, but a vine who wants to glorify its creator is beautiful. As I spoke to Jesus in this passage I pointed out that My wrath toward sin had to be handled. Sin cannot exist next to perfect love and heaven is a place of perfect love (you will love it there – give up everything else in your life to seek it and seek Me! It is so worth it). Imagine that Jesus heard all I said (much of it is written in Ezekiel) and heard My incredible dilemma summarized in

Ezekiel 20:21 ESV “Then I said I would pour out My wrath upon them and spend My anger against them in the wilderness.”

And
                Ezekiel 20:22 ESV “But I withheld My hand”

Jesus saw My pain and My dilemma and said he would step in and take care of it for Me. He would take all of the sin upon Himself so that I didn’t have to destroy My beautiful creatures whom I love so dearly and want to draw near to Me. Please, oh please, believe what is true. Believe in Me as pure love, believe in sin as pure evil and something you cannot control (Romans 7:15) and believe in Jesus who took care of the problem for us. You know it is true, deep inside you simply know it.
Please give in to the truth. Let go of ego and entitlement and believe what is true and allow Me to gather you into My perfect love which is desperately where you all want to be (Matthew 23:37). Come to Me. I am good.
