september 21 - daily message - Micah 4:5

I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri 

​Micah 4:5 ESV “For all the peoples walk each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever.”
 
Written from Holy Spirit’s Perspective:
Idols can be subtle. They can be cultural norms and familiar practices. Some ae obvious like when greed prevails, but others may be much less noticeable, particularly if they come from family norms and traditions.
 
I don’t say this to cause you to obsess about what idols may be in your life. Instead, I say it because I want you to be aware of their subtlety as I point them out to you so that you can choose to fix your eyes upon Me who has the actual power to take care of you, heal you, and give you joy.
 
Idols “tell” 1 lie consistently (actually the idol doesn’t tell you anything since it is actually nothing). The lie is that it will bring you what you want…love, joy, peace, provision, etc. Whatever you want, however, is found in Me. This is really actually true.
 
Many people “limit My power” (if this is even possible) in their lives by believing that I will require something of them that they don’t truly want deep down inside. Sure there are surface level “wants” that may not be good for you and I help you remove them, but the true desires of your heart, now that is a different story completely and those I love to give.
 
I make you a promise – an actual promise – I will give you all of the desires of your heart if you will let Me!
 
I promise you this. Your part is letting Me give them to you. This means:
-Believing Me
-Letting Me move lesser things out of the way so that they can come to you.
-Practice receiving from Me rather than from the world. When you need something, ask Me first and let Me provide it or show you what to do. Don’t just jump to ordering it first thing. Give some time for My intervention….expecting Me to be good.
-Believing that I am more powerful than anything and anyone else – oh, if people actually believed this and lived accordingly – what they would experience in their life.
 
I truly love and enjoy you. Truly. And I want to be with you. I adore you, wake up with you each morning and sing beautiful songs over you every minute of the day. I am always there to guide and answer questions. Take a beat when you aren’t sure what to do and I will show you. Yes, I am really that involved if you want Me to be and this kind of relationship is really quite powerful and enjoyable.
 
I love you!
 
That is the basis for everything!
